It is very easy to capture screen of your Lenovo smartphones, especially new Lenovo models that are running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS or later. In earlier guides, we have already showed you different ways to take screenshots on Android phones, iPhone, iPad. For example, you can refer to picture below.
There are mainly two different ways you can take screenshots on Lenovo mobile phones. The easiest ways to caputure your screen on Lenovo is to press both the Power and volume down buttons at the same time. Another way is to download a screen capture app in the Play Store. If you can easily capture screen on Lenovo using the first method, you can just ignore the second method. However some Android screen capture app provides advanced features to capture certain part of a screen, full screen with the ability to edit screenshots captured and share the screenshots in social networks. In this guide, however we will show you the basic steps to take screenshots on Lenovo phones without third party apps.
***How to Take Screenshot on Lenovo Mobile Phones?
"Press Power button and Volume down button at the same time for about 2 seconds, your current screen will be captured and save to Gallery. Approach 2: Swipe down Status bar from the top edge of screen, and swipe down from the notification area to display all the quick setting buttons. Tap the Screen Shotbutton."
Bring up what you like to capture on your Lenovo mobile screen. It can be your chat history, someone’s contact details, mailing address, web pages, or anything you like to capture on your cellphone. Find the power button. Some Lenovo phones have it on the right side, some have the power button at the top of your mobile phone. In this demo, we are using a Lenovo Vibe X2 which as the power button at the right side. Now press both the power button and the volume down button at the same time until you hear the shutter sound. You can see your Lenovo display screen flashes at the same time you hear the sound.
***The Lenovo screenshots will be saved to the Gallery app. Open the Gallery album on Lenovo, there will be a dedicated folder named Screenshots where all your screenshots captured are saved there. The screenshots are saved in the same place as other image files and video files recorded using the Camera on your phone.

Why can’t I take screenshots on Lenovo cellphone?
The above method should work with most Lenovo phone models, especially new released Lenovo phones. Sometimes you may just need more practise to get it right. So be patient and practise more. If you are using old Lenovo phones or Android versions, such as Android 2.3 or earlier, you are out of luck. You will not be able to capture screen on your Lenovo without third party screen capturing apps.
